MFN financial planning benefit options
MedCentric Financial Network offers health care organizations a
choice of pre-defined financial planning benefit options, which
are made available locally through our network of independent, fee-only
advisors. Each benefit option was designed to provide a physician
with a valuable planning experience in a self-contained format.
MFN can also work with employers to develop custom benefit programs
tailored to a set of unique organizational and budgetary goals.
The Personal Financial Review
The Personal Financial Review allows a physician, or other beneficiary,
to work with an advisor in exploring one or two key personal financial
issues. Retirement and investments are two of the most commonly
covered areas, but the review can focus on any financial planning
topic. The beneficiary is asked to provide his or her advisor with
the necessary background information by completing a financial planning
questionnaire. After analyzing the data, the advisor provides expert
insight and guidance during a seventy-five minute meeting. The beneficiary
also receives a written review summary, including key planning points
and concise suggestions on ways to improve his or her finances.
The cost of the Personal Financial Review is $250, and this amount
is generally paid entirely by the sponsoring employer.
The Personal Financial Review - Gold
The Gold version of the Personal Financial Review allows the beneficiary
and his or her advisor to cover a wider range of topics, or to focus
in greater detail on a single area of interest. This option provides
for an expanded meeting of two hours, and also includes a written
summary. The cost is $400. The employer can opt to cover all, or
a portion of this amount.
Custom Modular Benefit
MFN can work with employers to develop custom benefit programs.
Custom benefits are designed around a modular planning approach,
and can be structured to cover one or more pre-defined planning
topics. The cost is variable depending on the scope of the benefit
desired by the employer.
Enhancing Program Flexibility
To increase the flexibility of the program, beneficiaries have
the option of applying the dollar value of their benefit towards
of the cost of preparing a comprehensive financial plan. The out
of pocket cost to the employee varies depending on the scope of
the financial planning effort.
